I wanted to include an image of the edited audio file, but it was too much of a bother.

I was trying to isolate individual frequencies to play 'em like notes. The first section is the noise edited in audition, in that function where you can draw and erase specific parts of the frequency. The difficulty was that there's no precise way to take out very specific parts of the frequency in that interface. And, fair enough, I guess that's not what its for. You could just put a piece of audio into a sampler, but it was disappointing anyway.

In the last part of this track I was trying to use the keyframes and the parametric eq to get specific frequencies. I wanted to start all of the points at the same frequency and then have them slide to different frequencies in order to make chords. In my head I could hear how it would sound—all these notes unfolding into different chords, like the THX theme. But it was all way too finicky and I only ended up with one sustained chord.
